Replacement Filter Cartridges

I’d start by checking the exact housing size printed on the old cartridge or housing label, because “standard” can still get confusing when you’re ordering online. For 2.5x10 undersink housings and larger 4.5x10 or 20-inch housings, carbon block cartridges are pretty common, but I’d still look at what the cartridge is designed to reduce, not only the dimensions. I came across this home water filter* while looking for replacement options, and what I liked was that they carry cartridges for universal-size housings as well as their own undersink unit. For daily use, I’d also check NSF/ANSI 42 certification and whether you need something for chlorine, chloramine, or finer filtration.

It helps to keep a photo of the cartridge label before throwing the old one out. Length, diameter, gasket style, and intended use can all matter, especially when switching brands. Ordering one cartridge first to test the fit can be smarter than buying a full case and realizing the flow rate or seal is not quite right.
